Welcome to SCFS’s 3-4-5 Community.  For those of you who are new to our school or to the 3-4-5 classroom, we are looking forward to having you join our community of friends.

This year at SCFS we are continuing our school-wide focus on the writing process. Although our students generally score high in math and reading, writing skills tend to be lower. This is why we focus so much of our instruction in this area. Besides writing we will spend time each week exploring the wonders of science. We have an excellent resource with our Delta Science Kits. Since we are in a transition stage as we build a permanent school, we started the school year with our “Suitcase Science Series”. It has given us lots of opportunities to explore nature’s laboratory. We will continue our exploration on the theme of Water for the rest of the year, integrating science, writing, reading, and even math.  There is no question that we will be busy making learning fun and interesting!
